Description
Nada Yoga, "Unity through Sound", is the ancient art and science of inner transformation through sound and tone. It is a universal path to self-realization, accessible to everyone, regardless of religious or spiritual background.
Making hand-beaten singing bowls is a process that requires both artistry and precision. Each bowl begins as a disc of metal that is melted from a mixture of different metals including copper, tin, zinc, lead, iron, gold and silver. These discs are then cut into round shapes that serve as the base for the singing bowl.
The actual beating process is intense and requires multiple heating and cooling cycles. With each heating, the metal becomes red hot and then pounded by master craftsmen until it reaches the desired shape and size. This process is repeated to ensure the metal retains its ductility and does not become brittle.
After the basic shape of the singing bowl is determined, it is reheated and fine tuned to create its unique sound. Finally, the shell is smoothed inside and out, cleaned and possibly chiseled to give it a shiny finish.
Experience the deep resonance and quality of craftsmanship of Nada Yoga Singing Bowls, ideal for both meditation and therapeutic use. Each bowl is a testament to centuries-old traditions and craftsmanship.
Please note that the singing bowl mallets must be ordered separately. The indicated diameter of the bowls is only a guide, as each bowl is handmade and may vary slightly.
